History of Undergraduate Data Science Abroad

In the fall semester of 2015 at UC Berkeley, the first iteration of Data 8: Foundations of Data Science course was offered to all undergraduates at Cal. Since then, Data 8 is now a widely-known standard for teaching concepts of probability, statistical inference, as well as a powerful introduction to programming languages for thousands of students.

Adoptions of the course quickly spread to other universities as the demand for data scientists grew within all industries and organizations. This newsletter is aimed towards telling the stories of the professors who have pioneered this new movement.
